About the role

Were looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our team for a temporary period!

If you are passionate about Communications, curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and work on a wide range of projects; we have an opportunity for you! In this role, youll have the opportunity to work with colleagues and stakeholders to support the Direct Distribution business.

This is a 13-month contract/secondment opportunity.

Reporting to the Communications Director for the direct to customer brands, the Senior Communications Advisor is responsible for supporting the national belairdirect Communications team in planning and implementing internal and external communications strategies and activities.

What youll do here:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to develop strong relationships with internal business partners and colleagues at all levels.
  • Support the business evolution through change management to ensure successful adoption and acceptance of new processes, tools, or structures.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to develop communications plans to support the business priorities and engagement action plans.
  • Develop and maintain strategic communications and implement integrated communication plans. Responds to requests from internal or external customers related to communication initiatives.
  • Act as the communication expert on projects with business stakeholders to advise on communication approaches, ensuring consistency and message alignment. Assess the needs of each project, get buy-in, implement the plan, measure impact, and iterate.
  • Drafting, editing, and proofreading a wide-range of content to support the direct-to-consumer brand reputation, strategic priorities and business initiatives including intranet articles; website content; presentations; speeches; and newsletters.
  • Showcasing that natural storytelling ability across different communication channels and mediums. Use your stellar writing and creative skills to develop compelling and engaging communications.
  • Oversee production and distribution of communication materials. Lead event planning and organizing (e.g., employees and managers townhalls).
  • Provide overall project management to communication initiatives.
What you bring to the table:
  • University degree in a Communications-related field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within a public relations/marketing agency or corporate environment
  • Experience in creating strategic communications plan
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and strong writing skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Knowledge of the tools in the Adobe Creative software suite, especially Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Takes initiative, is flexible and adapts easily to change. Has a can-do attitude and solutions-oriented approach to everything you do
  • Committed to delivering high standards of client service
  • Strong communications and planning skills, a consultative approach, impeccable attention to detail and a passion for creative writing are essential
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset - Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country
