WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The primary purpose of this role is to support the development within the FX trade management, risk & reporting system. The system is a critical backbone of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s FX trading & brings exposure to multiple groups both front & back. The candidate will display excellent organizational, motivational and business knowledge. This will require in depth knowledge of FX trading. Knowledge of capital markets asset class is required especially FX. The candidate will provide leadership & contribute as part of a global team to implement, enhance and support the FX trade management systems. Strong communication, leadership, teamwork skills & experience working under time pressure are required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Work closely with business sponsors to understand their requirements and help architect, design and execute technical solutions.
  • Identify business, technology and people risks associated with a solution.
  • Strong partnerships with colleagues in Development, QA, support, analysis, trading, and sales.
  • Partner with colleagues across all front-office and downstream IT teams.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:
  • Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • 5 years of minimum experience in business system analysis or related field.
  • In depth knowledge of FX trading.
  • Proficient in SQL and database technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team (incremental deliveries).
  • Ability to work well with developers as well as business stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Visio (or other diagraming tool).
Nice-to-have:
  • Knowledge of UNIX shell commands.
  • Experience integrating JIRA and Confluence.
  • In this role, you will communicate frequently with head office staff in Toronto and therefore must speak both French and English.
