Senior Building Operator

This is an A class group of properties, and looking to add a tenured, mature, true professional to their team. This is a hands-on role, we are looking for someone to treat these properties as if they were your own.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Daily walk through of 3 properties (all within 10 blocks)
• Reporting on building statuses to GM
• Manage all aspects of tenant activities such as regular communication, answering questions and solving issues, as well as ensuring quality is up to standard by meeting tenant needs professionally and in a timely manner
• Ensuring the general maintenance of all buildings
• Responding to tenant service calls and supervising contractors
• Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs at their highest level of quality
• Performing preventive scheduled maintenance as well as corrective, emergency and environmental maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Communicating all property and tenant issues to the General Manager
• Must be available for emergency purposes/on-call

Your strengths include:

• 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in building maintenance in (ideally) commercial buildings
• Class 5 Power Engineer is a MUST
• Additional trade experience a definite asset
• Previous experience operating a building maintenance software system
• Mechanically inclined and strong knowledge of construction standards
• Ability to manage change in a professional environment
• Strive for improvement and implement solutions
• Ambitious, results driven and able to problem solve effectively
• Excellent communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization
