Job Description


We are currently looking for a qualified Senior Brand manager specialized in neurology. This is a permanent full-time job located at our Ville Saint-Laurent head-office. The incumbent will report to the Senior Director, Neurology Business Unit & New Products. Your Position
Participating in the commercialization and implementation of a new revolutionary brand in the Canadian pharmaceutical market, working with a cross‑functional team, the Senior Brand Manager, Vyepti, is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated brand plan, while demonstrating a high level of collaborative behavior. The Senior Brand Manager reports to the Senior Director, Neurology Business Unit. The position is located in the Montreal Head Office.


Brand management (40%)

  • Implement an integrated marketing plan (includes advertising and promotion, direct marketing, sampling, social media, public relations, etc.)
  • Select, brief, monitor and manage suppliers contracted to provide services in order to deliver quality outputs on time and on budget
  • Effectively communicate the brand strategy to those who are responsible for its execution and inspire motivation and confidence towards the brand plan of action (e.g. sales & training). Be Brand Champion across the organization.
  • Shape the development and assist in the execution of market research activities designed to support and assess marketing initiatives
  • Effectively manage the approved promotional budget and take responsibility for budget estimates to respect phased spend and deliver on financial commitments



Brand Monitoring & Tracking: (20%)
  • Determine how brand performance will be monitored (including defining the Marketing dashboard INTU needs and the Brand Reporting needs), track performance and recommend adjustments
  • Support Brand Director in challenging and adapting the brand investments to meet our strategic objectives by making recommendations based on risks, benefits and ROI
  • Follow the implementation of cycle promotion with field force(s), analyze feedback, and propose changes and improvements when necessary



Business Planning (20%)
  • Manage and oversee internal brand planning process (meetings, consultations, strategy sessions, timeline, etc.) and ensure that adequate direction is provided to the various functions (i.e: sales to support rep territory planning)
  • Analyze and anticipate future trends in disease management and market environment which are likely to impact the performance and potential of the brand
  • Foster strong working relationships with Global-Regional Teams to contribute to global strategy-tactics, leverage best practices and demonstrate Canada’s leadership
  • Recommend brand strategy that considers patient journey, buying process, drivers & barriers, competition, SWOT, physician targeting & segmentation, etc.
  • Develop a cohesive tactical plan that addresses the brand’s strategic Critical Success Factors spanning across the functions and optimizing the channel mix (includes advertising and promotion, direct marketing, sampling, continuing health education, KOL advocacy, market access support, market research, medical activities and public relation activities)
  • Develop short and long‑term revenue Projections
  • Life Cycle Management: assess opportunities and develop business case(s) in order to support Brand Director in go-no go decisions and to optimize brand value



Team leadership (20%)
  • Lead the cross-functional Brand Team and ensure strong & coordinated cross‑functional work‑streams
  • Ensure the strategic integrity of projects and activities
  • Generate high commitment and enthusiasm towards achievement of brand goals among both Head Office and Field employees
  • Support the ongoing development of national and regional opinion‑leaders in psychiatry for strong KOL Advocacy



Position Qualifications:
  • University degree in communication, business and/or life sciences
  • Minimum of five (6) years of experience in Marketing within the Canadian pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with biologic medications/infusion networks
  • Knowledge of the migraine market preferred
  • Knowledge of the Canadian CNS market preferred
  • Excellent oral and written and oral communication skills in English and French is required
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong planning/organizational skills
  • Leadership, driving results and engagement in cross-functional teams
  • Situational Adaptability
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
