We're excited to welcome a detail-oriented and experienced

Senior Bookkeeper

to our team in a full-time, permanent role. In this role, you'll be the steady hand that keeps our clients' books accurate, organized, and up to date. From preparing financial statements and working directly with clients, to collaborating with other team members to ensure everything is ready for reviews and filings, you'll be the go-to for making sure numbers tell the right story.



We're looking for someone highly organized, adaptable, and confident balancing multiple client files with precision and care. You'll work closely with our leadership team, peers, and clients, so strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach are must-haves.

WHO YOU ARE




A warm and positive individual who is intrinsically motivated and demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. WHAT YOU'LL BRING




Solid experience in bookkeeping within a public practice environment. Minimum of five (5) years of bookkeeping experience. Working on site (not hybrid or remote). Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop/Online, CaseWare, and TaxCycle) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of payroll, GST/HST, PST, WCB, and related filings. Knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping and year-end preparation. A problem-solving mindset and initiative to suggest improvements. Bilingualism (French/English), which is considered an asset but not required.



WHAT YOU'LL DO




Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients across a variety of industries. Reconcile bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts with accuracy. Prepare, file and review GST/HST, PST and other remittances. Maintain organized client records and documentation for year-end preparation. Collaborate with accountants on working papers, adjustments, and review points. Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide support. Assist with onboarding new bookkeeping clients, setting them up for success. Conduct peer review on bookkeeping files. Train and mentor junior team members in bookkeeping technical skills, project and time management skills. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
