Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Bookkeeper

to manage the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for our spa and several affiliated small businesses. These include a gluten-free bakery, skincare product line, and farm. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a strong background in multi-entity bookkeeping and a passion for supporting wellness-focused businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Full-Cycle Bookkeeping

Manage day-to-day accounting functions for the spa and side businesses (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations). Maintain general ledgers and trial balances for multiple entities. Reconcile intercompany transactions.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Track profitability by business line and department. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Assist with cash flow management and cost control initiatives.

3. Compliance & Controls

Maintain up-to-date records for audits and external accounting needs. Ensure internal controls are in place and followed across all business units.

4. Systems & Process Improvements

Optimize accounting software and digital recordkeeping systems. Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

5. Support to Leadership

Provide financial insight and data support to department heads and ownership. Collaborate with operations and sales to align on financial goals.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance is an asset. Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably with multi-entity or hospitality sector experience. Proficient in accounting software and Excel. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Discreet, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential financial information.

Wage:

$30 - $38 per hour
