We are looking for a Senior Associate to join the Direct Private Equity (DPE) team in Toronto. CPP Investments\' DPE group manages a C$50 billion portfolio of direct private equity investments, investing out of offices in Toronto, San Francisco and London. DPE currently consists of 70 investment professionals and operates with a broad mandate ranging from significant minority investments, partnering with founders and families as well as large scale co-control investments alongside other private equity funds. As a Senior Associate you will work on deal teams to:

• Analyze potential investment opportunities and be an active participant in the investment committee process
• Play an active role in developing our view on valuation and investment thesis
• Review and develop financial models to assist in investment evaluation, structuring and financing
• Lead key diligence streams in collaboration with advisors
• Work with internal teams (tax, legal, finance & operations) to effectively structure, execute and manage investments
• Become actively involved with portfolio companies, attend board meetings and assist management teams with strategic initiatives
• Drive and oversee initiatives related to investment monetization

A particular focus is placed on helping Senior Associates develop a well-rounded set of skills as an investor and leader with a strong understanding of the deal process from origination through to monetization. Qualifications
Senior Associate hires typically have between 4-9 years of work experience.

• Candidates are typically recruited from direct investing (equity, credit, etc), investment banking, consulting, corporate development, corporate finance/accounting and/or transaction services
