Overview

Role: Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity, Venture Capital & Real Estate

Location: Mississauga, Canada

This role will be based at our Mississauga Office.

Senior Fund Accountant

The principal responsibility for the role is to assist in the servicing of our Private Equity, Real Estate and Venture Capital fund administration clients. The job will also include oversight of the operational work being performed in other locations globally, financial statements and other fund admin reporting, client visits, global projects and client integration management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the fund accounting and investor servicing for Fund Administration clients
• US GAAP & IFRS reporting for investment companies/funds
• Production of Financial Statements and Investor communications for Clients
• Assist in the management of the NAV preparation for our fund clients
• Ensuring adherence to documented procedures and policies
• Working on ad hoc internal and global projects (as required)

The candidate should have:

• A background in accounting or finance (a professional accounting qualification is considered a plus) with 2-3 years experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative consistently producing accurate and timely work
• A high degree of commercial awareness and client service focus
• Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions of the bank and professional intermediaries
• Strong IT/Excel skills
• Experience using eFront, Investran or Allvue considered a plus
