Senior Arts Administrator

Job Description


As an Arts Business Administrator, you will be supporting the management and development team. We are looking for someone who is a quick learner and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment. Our ideal candidate must have a funding and business proposal writing background in the entertainment and arts & culture industries. Experience in an administrative setting with demonstrated computer skills is also a requirement. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce various written proposals for clients, partners, government, and arts funding agencies
  • Ensure all proposals are accurate and comprehensive
  • Ongoing liaise with the team, clients, partners, and government
  • Review various written proposals, schedules, and budgets
  • Prepare and collect documents for reporting
  • Maintain document delivery and reporting schedule
  • Process and maintain documents and digital profiles on multiple platforms between multiple systems
  • Recognize opportunities and risks, and recommend actionable changes
  • Research and develop new funding streams
Our preferred candidate is:
  • Experience and understanding of the in arts and culture funding in Canada
  • Self-motivated and organized, with good time-management skills
  • Capable of working as part of a team to accomplish ongoing tasks/projects
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and performing a variety of administrative duties
  • Fluent in French would be an asset, but not a requirement
Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in business communications
  • Possess an understand of arts funding in Canada
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines with accuracy in fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal & written) with an emphasis on teamwork
  • Strong organization skills, and the ability to be a self-starter who can work independently
  • Experience with ( Word, Excel, CRM, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn new software
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
COVID-19 considerations:
Our team works remotely but meets in person regularly when appropriate. Experience:
  • Business Development: 3 years (required)
  • Administrative: 3 years (required)
  • Arts or Music Industry: 3 years (required)
