• 35 hours/week
• Compensation will commensurate with experience
• This position will lead to a principle management role with the capacity to lead and manage multiple projects in addition to eligibility for a future partnership opportunity

Duties

• Be involved in all aspects of pre-design, design, documentation and construction administration
• Code and Zoning research and application
• Design collaboration
• Client and stakeholder interaction
• Consultant communication and coordination
• Preparation of presentation documents
• Preparation of working drawings
• Tendering
• Managing Authorities
• Managing projects including administrative duties
• Construction Administration
• Understanding and experience with municipal approvals processes including Zoning, Site Plan Control, permit, and re-zoning is an asset

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Architecture or equivalent
• 7-10 years' experience in an architectural environment
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in institutional, residential and commercial projects .
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup and MS Office
• Demonstrate expertise in design and/or technical realms
• Knowledge of quality control methods and management
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Codes
• Must have excellent communication skills, work well in a team setting, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work efficiently on projects in various phases
• Excellent practical understanding of building systems, detailing and materials
• Construction Administration experience
