To support our recent and ongoing growth, JLR\xe2\x80\x99s team is looking to add a Senior Architect to augment and round out our Architectural Group in Kingston. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for talented and creative people to support both business development and design activities, and proven or emerging leaders to develop and manage our clients and projects. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect (OAA) with at least fifteen years of diverse project experience and possess a demonstrated passion for excellence in architecture and design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage and synthesize projects, organized, excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 3), proficiency with the CCDC 2 2020, strong understanding of building envelope systems and the ability to multi-task in a busy office, are key attributes.   • Lead projects and design teams.
  • Work along side the Chief Architect and JLR leadership group to drive projects forward.
  • Collaborate with team members as part of an integrated project team, including execution, design, and reporting.
  • Engage through all project stages, from definition, through planning, design, and construction using your demonstrated abilities to recognize opportunities, understand client needs and manage and deliver projects.
  • Architectural design and contract administration related to a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects.
  • Liaise with clients, engagement and leadership of business and client development activities.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals, reports, specifications, contract documents and budget estimates.
  • Travel between JLR offices across Ontario and Canada, as required, to meet the needs of various projects and/or for training purposes.
