Job Summary Supports senior management in coordinating the development, implementation, and communication of complex credit risk management policies and processes. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.
What is the opportunity? You will assist with the management of large complex high risk files in support of Senior Directors, make recommendations on RBC strategy and actions on specific accounts and deliver work in accordance with established timelines and in compliance with RBC policies. The Senior Analyst will support Special Loans Advisory Services (SLAS) on core Risk Manager activities (financial analysis, risk rating, reporting, team data management, adjudication) in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of credit risk operations. What will you do?
Participate in client conference calls and meetings including financial advisors and legal counsel.
Prepare credit updates for submission for approval
Support preparation of materials to support all risk rating activities, including but are not limited to annual and interim reviews, Borrower Risk Ratings and BCCs
Complete risk rating and reporting applications (Risk Rating tools and Newton) including financial models as assigned (income, balance sheet and cash flow statements, breakeven analysis, enterprise valuation and multivariable sensitivity testing)
Follow business and financial performance through daily monitoring of financial and industry information, regulatory events, external rating agency movements, and other early warning signals
What will you need to succeed?
Desire to learn and gain experience through exposure to the management of the largest and highest risk exposures of the Bank
Highly developed organizational skills
Proven ability to write clearly and concisely
Demonstrated financial modeling and analytical skills
Quality and timely completion of data entry, analysis and reporting
Computer literate with high comfort level in use of word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel) and database software (various) and in using electronic tools for on-line research
Must have
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (i.e. B.Comm., BSc/BA Finance, BA Economics or related subjects) and /or MBA, Chartered Professional Accountant or other Financial post secondary degree
Commercial or Corporate Credit experience (minimum 3 years) and/ or Commercial Account Management and/or Insolvency/Restructuring experience
