Senior Analyst, Partnerships / Scotia Wealth Management / Investment Distribution & Partnerships

As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to the overall success of the Scotia Wealth Management Partnerships team in Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\'s business strategies and objectives. You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The success of all Partnerships team-led initiatives is integral to ensuring the consistent delivery of an

excellent client and partner experience and achievement of Canadian Wealth Management\'s objectives. As a member of the National Scotia Wealth Management Partnerships team, contributes to building a strong platform that provides a supportive work environment for a dedicated, high performing sales force. Provide support on prioritized initiatives that will result in achieving near-term business targets and longer-term business growth

The Senior Analyst, Partnerships works with the National Partnerships team to provide support in an assortment of areas including expense and technology management, National Office and Regional reporting, development of new training materials, improvement of business processes & ongoing communications for Wealth Management Consultants, and Regional Directors. Developing an in-depth knowledge of all Wealth systems to support Wealth Management Consultants in day-to-day operations and working with all members to enhance current business processes.

Number of Regional Teams serviced: 4 Regional Directors and 50 Wealth Management Consultants (WMCs)

Number of Branches Serviced: 900+ retail branches and partners in Canadian Business Banking and Canadian Wealth Management.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Work with other members of the National Partnerships team to foster and sustain ongoing relationships with all referral Partners and Wealth Management Partners through engagement with, execution of, continuous improvement and sustainment of all referral and advisory partner initiatives including:
  • Day to Day support for relationships with Bank Partners such as Retail, Small Business, Canadian Business Banking, Professional Banking; as well as Canadian Wealth Management colleagues in ScotiaMcLeod, Private Investment Counsel, Jarislowsky Fraser, MD Financial, Scotiatrust, Private Banking, Insurance Solutions, Total Wealth Planning, iTRADE.
  • Day-to-Day accountability for execution, analysis and reporting: Bank Partner & National Partnerships initiatives and campaigns, including maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in HR, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Metrics Reporting and the Service Centre.
  • Provide administrative support to the 4 Regional Directors including processing monthly expense reports, review expenses submitted by their 50 Wealth Management Consultants, travel booking, process monthly billing invoices / internal entries
  • Maintaining records in Salesforce, preparing business line reports and pipelines, prepare ad hoc Weekly/Monthly reports, managing manual validations
  • Run Salesforce training sessions for new and existing staff to address common errors on the software and increase the accuracy of referral reporting
  • Manage inquiries directed to the Partnerships inbox and lead investigations regarding missing referral credit for Retail Partners
  • Work alongside Salesforce team to identify system issues that impact WMC/Retail credit and consult on proposed solutions
  • Onboarding / offboarding staff
  • Systems Access (Intralink, Salesforce, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Lync/Skype, VPN, Egencia)
  • One-on-one Salesforce training
  • Support for first week onboard to ensure new employee is fully functional and addressing any issues / inquires at the time.
  • Provide support to the Wealth Management Consultants in the following areas:
  • Expense policies and processing
  • Technology (software and hardware) inquires / issues
  • Support with Marketing materials as needed
  • Manage WMC monthly retail crediting investigations
  • Multiple layers of investigating to uncover missing credit
  • Logging missing credits and applicable details to be sent to the adjustment team
  • Understand how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank\'s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • 1-3 years of bank administrative experience
  • Strong administrative background
  • Experience working with Salesforce is an asset
  • Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel & Teams
  • Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to accept challenges and adapt to a changing environment
  • Attention to detail, and high-level of accountability for the quality and timely completion of deliverables
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management industry
