Job Purpose:

The Global Finance Optimization team serves as business leads for Global Finance projects in collaboration with Global Payment Operations, Global Finance & Risk Technology (GFRT) and other business partners. The Senior Analyst provides post-implementation and ongoing operational support for key Finance projects and systems by:
  • Coordinating post-implementation (Hypercare) support for key Finance projects
  • Coordinating the resolution of operational, technical and business process issues referred from the GFRT application help desk
  • Providing ongoing monitoring and reporting of key operational metrics related to key Finance systems and processes.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Managing the investigation and resolution of post-implementation business and technical issues resulting from the implementation of assigned Finance projects.
  • Working with subject matter experts, application developers and operational staff to investigate and coordinate the resolution of operational, business process and technical issues referred from the GFT Help Desk.
  • Manage the resolution of user access involving the Travel & Expense Management and Global Accounts Payable systems escalated from the GFT Help Desk.
  • Coordinate with CentreSuite support team and other support groups to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding of staff to and from the Travel & Expense Management system.
  • Monitor and coordinate the resolution of issues causing buildups in the Travel & Expense and Global AP exception queues
  • Provide weekly monitoring and reporting of key process and system metrics affecting the flow of payments through Finance\'s Global AP and Travel & Expense Management systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • Minimum of 2 years of business analysis, project management or related experience
  • Experience working with teams who have varying priorities
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • A results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality results under very tight deadlines
  • Experience in drafting requirements, manuals or training documents
  • Excellent knowledge of Scotiabank Finance software including Peoplesoft (Global Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payment Request Centre),, SmartStream, Oracle Business Intelligence
  • Good MS Office suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)
  • Experience with Technical support software (ServiceNow) is an asset
