Dream is looking for a Senior Analyst, Portfolio Management and Valuations

Dream Summit is looking to hire a Senior Analyst, Portfolio Management and Valuations to help deliver value-added analysis and management reporting for the joint venture. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (\xe2\x80\x9cFP&A\xe2\x80\x9d), the successful candidate must be a critical thinker able to assess, synthesize and communicate issues and solutions as a key part of the Portfolio Management team.

2-4 years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate asset management, valuation or financial planning and analysis. Your understanding of management\xe2\x80\x99s needs is apparent through your clear written and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable drafting presentations and care about delivering high-quality results. You\xe2\x80\x99re known for maintaining a positive, calm attitude even during crunch time. You like to move as fast as we do and have fun in the process. You don\xe2\x80\x99t hesitate to go above and beyond to help the team and your colleagues enjoy collaborating with you.

What will you do as a Senior Analyst, Portfolio Management?

  • Partner with business teams to monitor business results and provide meaningful analytics and trends;
  • Coordinate the annual external appraisal and the quarterly internal valuation process;
  • Work with asset management, operations and finance teams across the organization to compile forecast, budget and actual results. Communicate them to senior management accurately in clear, concise report formats;
  • Assist leasing and portfolio managers in the preparation of quarterly asset plans;
  • Improve upon existing processes and technology to provide value-added information to senior management.

What type of experience do you have?
  • 2-4 years of work experience in real estate asset management, valuation, financial planning and analysis, management and financial reporting, or investments;
  • University degree with a background in business, finance, or real estate. Financial designation (CPA, CFA, AIC) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of real estate financial modeling. Proficiency in Argus Enterprise is a strong asset;
  • Superior interpersonal and oral/written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong spreadsheet, financial modeling, data manipulation;
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics systems is an asset;
