The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior IT Analyst (Business Solutions) to join our Technology team. This is a permanent position and located in Toronto.

The Senior IT Analyst will promote and manage SAP specific business transformation through multidisciplinary initiatives, involving changes in processes and governance, adoption of new technologies and integration of various areas impacted by the change. Develop and support the product life cycle in an end-to-end perspective (strategy, concept, building, deployment, enhancements, support and decommissioning)

The roles accountabilities will include:

• Manage end-to-end product life cycle (strategy, design, development, deployment, enhancements, support, and decommissioning), seeking to maximize the return on investments and the creation of value for the business using SAP technology.
• Provide reliable technology services, maintaining uninterruptedly (24x7) the systems that globally support Vale\'s operations and business processes, impacting the company\'s ability to produce, sell, operate and, consequently, generate revenue.
• Keep the specific SAP functional knowledge of each business areas under their responsibility, deriving a clear value proposition for the products developed.
• Promote and manage business transformation through multidisciplinary initiatives, including changes in processes and governance, adoption of new technologies.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in processes and technologies considering various aspects of organizational, market trends change in order to create value for the business.
• Foment new business problem solving practices, through agile methods, innovation and collaboration with internal areas and external partners/vendors. Promote experiences of adopting modern architectural project management practices and SAP technology products in pilot initiatives, sharing lessons learned and benefits with other areas of Vale.
• Proactively define strategic view and technology solutions plan for the business areas, considering the current scenario and anticipating future business needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
• Participate in gathering and validation the requirements for projects. Working with Business stakeholders, ensures clarity and completeness of the scope and accuracy of the detailed requirements.
• Document configurations, and customizations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that SAP solutions meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP systems, addressing issues and implementing enhancements as needed.

About You

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• Certification in relevant SAP modules is a plus (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate)

Experience:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience working with SAP systems in a functional role, including implementation and support
• Experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment
• Minimum 2 to 3 years in leading teams (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more SAP modules such as SAP ERP (e.g., SD (preferred), FICO), SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM etc.
• Understanding of business processes including but not limited to procurement and contract management processes and ability to align SAP solutions with business needs
• Ability to manage multiple projects and support global programs simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions working with cross functional teams, partners and vendors
• Project Management and Agile development methods.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams.
• Language \xe2\x80\x93 English, Portuguese (plus; not mandatory)

While this position is based out of Toronto, the candidate should be compatible to support global teams across multiple time zones, without the need to be outside of normal working hours.
