Requisition ID: 196028Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.Sr. Analyst contributes to the overall success of Global Procurement Services department serving the global enterprise ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\'s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Apply knowledge of procurement policy, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to respond to inquiries related to Supplier Requests to align to Global Procurement Policy and Procedures, and other related policies.
  • Manage Supplier Request and Administration activities by:
  • Providing timely frontline support and guidance internally on all issues related to supplier records including activating new supplier records in the Bank\'s operations tools, maintaining existing records and deactivating supplier records.
  • Supporting supplier database management activities including:
  • Completing data cleanse activities, ensuring quality, consistency, and accuracy of supplier\'s data in Supplier Management applications as preparation for enabling new supplier records.
  • Managing supplier name change activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of the task. Including, liaising with various teams to coordinate changes across Bank applications.
  • Ensuring parent/child relationships are correctly connected, contract agreements are associated to the corresponding supplier records.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the required fields in the Bank\'s tools and systems.
  • Initiating Action Plans in the Supplier Management application to request missing information.
  • Performing root cause analysis of supplier, contract, and procurement related data issues and coordinate remediation activities between procurement applications. Escalates to Manager or proposes solutions where necessary.
  • Operating the Bank\'s issue ticket management system to log, review and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 support issues.
  • Interacting with Lines of Business and requesters for information clarification and follow-up. Including initiating Actions Plans in the Supplier Management application to
  • Provide back-up service for Contract Request activities as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to users as required.
  • Provide supplier analysis and reporting, where applicable to address regulatory, senior management or business requirements.
  • Develop working knowledge of the third-party risk management process and requirements across the key risk categories that impact third parties.
  • Prepars, update, follow SOPs and WIs documentation to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Escalate issues to Manager, suppliers, or other internal stakeholders and tracks to resolution.
  • Prepare and distributes reports from the systems.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Participate and assists in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Understand how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank\'s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Design and prepares reports that monitor operational KPIs and recommend process improvement.
  • Interact with the technical support teams to facilitate ticket resolution where required.
  • Maintain reporting, dashboards to track user activity, support tickets and internal OLA\'s. Also, all this must come with the key findings, highlight, a contextual analysis of the data explaining its meaning in sentence form.
  • Based on the user feedback, act as advisor to identify opportunities for system/process improvements.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • College Diploma or University Degree in related field.
  • 3+ years of project management, business administration, business analysis, data analysis, business process improvement, and/or business help desk, operations experience.
  • Service and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Strong business and analytical skills, ability to focus on key issues and solve problems.
  • Self-starter willing to learn and assume ad-hoc responsibilities (as required).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize/balance multiple priorities appropriately.
  • Experience in business analysis is an asset.
  • Accurate and thorough investigative skills.
  • Previous experience with Procurement preferred.
  • Experience within a large financial institution is preferred.
  • Communication in English plus French and/or Spanish is preferred.
