Responsibilities: The Senior Analyst, General Insurance P&L Management will be accountable for:
  • Identification of P&L levers by collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization, including Finance, Claims, Fraud, CAC, Digital, Shared Services Operations, Product, Pricing, Underwriting, DAI, Analytics & Modeling, etc.
  • Provide oversight of the GI P&L and detailed assessment of each of the components, identify P&L optimization opportunities
  • Develop tracking mechanisms for key areas impacting the P&L
  • In collaboration with various partners, proactively identify key business trends and accelerate action plans to manage and improve the P&L
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization
  • Collaboratively identify opportunities through data-driven analytics and work with cross-functional group to accelerate initiatives
  • Assess potential business opportunities
  • Provide support on various ad hoc requests
  • Promote a working environment that fosters diversity and inclusion, and drives employee engagement
Requirements
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Actuarial science
  • 5+ years of property & casualty actuarial experience
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Canadian Institute of Actuaries is an asset
  • Demonstrated good relationship management skills with the ability to obtain consensus among key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skill with ability to clearly communicate results.
  • Creativity in finding solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL and R programming language
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively during periods of stress
