Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Summary:

The financial analysis team is for a Financial Analyst who will be able to provide reliable and timely

information and analysis to business leaders to guide them in the decision-making process. Working

under the Senior Manager FP&, You will be supporting our IT, e-commerce, and digital team Sales

and Gross Margin planning across our retail banners and channels. You will be involved in our ongoing

transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion

disruptor.

Responsibilities :

  • Work cross-functionally with the Merchandise Planning, Store Operations, Digital, Sourcing, and Logistics teams to build sales and margin budgets and monthly forecasts, analyse and
  • Interpret results, and drive profitability;
  • Plan, monitor, validate and prepare annual budgets and regular reforecasts to monitor thCompany\xe2\x80\x99s results and achievements for departments under his/her responsibility;
  • Continuously monitor results, provide insights into variances, challenge business partners, ensure forecasts reflect the most up-to-date data to drive the business;
  • Prepare and distribute on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis various financial reports for departments under his or her areas of responsibility;
  • Actively participate in the development of long-term financial plans (Strategic Plan 3-5 years) and support key business initiatives for the business segment under his/her responsibility;
  • Participate in process and tool improvement to increase quality, reliability and reduce time of report preparation;
  • Participate in the implementation of a new Financial Planning system;
  • Prepare analysis and business cases using financial and non-financial data;
  • Prepare and present insights based on analysis, key metrics trends and quantified risks and opportunities;
  • Develop a deep understanding of major performance drivers and KPIs to support the business with regular reporting;
  • Focus on financial modeling, analysis, interpretations and recommendations that support management decision-making.
Qualifications :
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance; relevant including relevant
  • professional designation (CPA, CFA) a plus-CA, CPA-CMA, CPA-CGA)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a FP&A role in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen;
  • Ability to think strategically and strong skills to drive business initiatives end to end and deliver insights;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment;Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize work in a demanding environment;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in interpreting the Company\xe2\x80\x99s policies and objectives Expert level proficiency in MS Excel;
  • Experience with an FP&A system a plus;
  • English/French proficiency.
