Job description and requirements

  • You are a CPA with more than 4 years of experience in a public company or large firm, ideally in a multi-currency environment.
  • You are familiar with (or have a strong interest in learning about) consolidation and IFRS.
  • You have excellent communication (oral and written) and writing skills in both French and English (Spanish is an asset).

Workplace: 1 Place Ville Marie, Montreal (possibility of telecommuting in hybrid mode).

This role will require you to act as a consolidation and corporate accounting expert. You will actively participate in the monthly closing process and the preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements according to IFRS. You will also prepare analyses and recommendations, particularly accounting, to identify impacts and guide the Company\'s decisions.

Your daily life will look like this:
  • Actively contribute to the drafting and review of notes to the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including proposing improvements or changes based on transactions.
  • For more complex transactions, conduct prior research, document preliminary findings and propose innovative solutions based on detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Be a business partner to the various sectors in day-to-day transactions, while ensuring compliance with Company policies.
  • Maintain essential procedures and processes to ensure that the Company\'s financial information is compliant with IFRS standards.
  • Participate in various projects related to the consolidation and preparation of internal and external financial statements.
  • Participate in the preparation and drafting of the Company\'s pension plan financial statements.
  • Actively collaborate with the external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
