About this job

The Corporate Accounting Senior Analyst will play an integral role in ensuring the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial records are complete, accurate and compliant with all regulatory requirements. This individual will work closely with Accounting, Finance and various business teams across the organization to execute the monthly financial close process and to facilitate appropriate accounting procedures and processes related to internal controls. This position will also serve in a lead capacity preparing critical financial data and analyses for executive level reporting, as well as managing and delivering on audit related requests (both from internal and external auditors). As needed, this position will serve as the functional expert and a member of project teams supporting strategic initiatives and technology implementations as they relate to Corporate Accounting.

What you will do \xe2\x80\x93 Essential Responsibilities

With minimal guidance from management:

Perform monthly financial close process by preparing various analysis, reconciliations and journal entries;

Prepare and present executive level reporting and analysis around financial results, including quarterly financial updates, forecasts, budgets and long-range financial plans.

Support the external audit process, including preparation of client-prepared schedules for quarterly reviews, SOX 404 testing and for the annual audit;

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to align on complex accounting solutions and reporting outcomes that are compliant with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Lead implementation of improved business processes based on functional knowledge and business partner needs

Leverage emerging data analytic tools like Tableau and Alteryx to provide best in class solutions for the business

Perform testing and validation of new system functionality and enhancements related to the Oracle ERP general ledger

Serve as a functional expert for the Company\xe2\x80\x99s chart of accounts and Oracle ERP general ledger as it relates to special projects, initiatives and system implementations

Purpose of the role

This position is a subject matter expert as it relates to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s chart of accounts, general ledger and financial close process. The role regularly interprets and solutions complex business partner requests based on their functional understanding of GAAP and their technical understanding of the Oracle ERP.

Qualifications and Requirements

Four year bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a major or minor concentration in Accounting

CPA license required

A minimum of four years of progressive experience in financial statement auditing, corporate accounting at a public company, financial systems or other key accounting functions

Extensive knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

Experience with period-end closing and accounting practices within Oracle ERP and EPM

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Foundational knowledge of computer programming and other data preparation/visualization tools. Examples include SQL, Visual Basic, Tableau and Alteryx.
