Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Admin will be a key contributor for financial planning and analysis of store support costs. This position will be actively involved in the budgeting/planning process, development of financial reports, period end accruals and variance analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support annual budgets and periodic forecasts process
  • Periodic financial close activities including preparation of appropriate accruals and financial analysis to ensure recording and reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Work closely with various business units to understand information needs and effectively respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely manner
  • Identify risks and opportunities to the budget/forecast
  • Identify and proactively act on opportunities to continuously improve internal processes such as developing and/or refining working templates/models and reports
  • Upload and analyze budget submissions to ensure reasonableness and alignment of requests with overall corporate objectives
  • Other ad hoc financial analyses as required
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Business/Accounting.
  • Enrollment in a recognized accounting designation (CPA) an asset
  • 1 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a finance & accounting role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to provide accurate forecasts and business insights
  • Self-starter: demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership and learn
  • Detail and deadline oriented. Capable of multi-tasking and handling conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships.
  • Creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
