The Business Intelligence team is responsible for delivering Total Fund reporting and analytics to consumers across the organization. The team works directly with Total Fund Management, Performance and Technology & Data collaboratively to establish processes, procedures, systems, and controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the quality of our enriched portfolio dataset.

Reporting into the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Senior Analyst will use their strong technical capabilities to support the daily Total Fund reporting process critical to investment decision-making, trade execution, servicing and reporting.

Role-Specific Accountabilities
  • Support the timely and accurate publishing of total fund level reporting, including performing analysis to identify and explain significant changes to the Total Fund asset and exposure composition.
  • Leveraging technical tools (i.e. SQL, Python, Excel macros), perform complex data analysis on large volumes of unstructured data to investigate and resolve reporting exceptions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve Total Fund reporting and processes through automation or process enhancements; lead the implementation of the enhancements internally and/ or through cross functional collaboration.
  • Actively support partnerships with Enterprise Data Management and Technology in continuously enhance portfolio data quality & delivery and self-serve reporting capabilities (e.g. data visualization, Tableau) based on end user requirements.
  • Work with Investment Departments and Operations teams to identify evolving reporting needs to support investment decision-making. Assist in gathering business requirements, coordination the user acceptance testing and provide ongoing training to downstream users.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of finance industry work experience
  • Strong programing skills in Python, SQL, and Excel/VBA
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and derivative instruments
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Math, Engineering) is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and is a self-starter
  • Demonstrated a thirst for learning new concepts and skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exemplifies our Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance
