Title:

Senior Advisor, Public Health Resilience

Salary:

$88,948 - $99,412 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:

Permanent

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Location:

Northern Region - Hybrid (50% in office) possibility of Remote (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy).

About the role



As Senior Advisor, Public Health Resilience, you will support the delivery of Health Emergency Management services to First Nations communities by ensuring a public health resilience perspective is integrated throughout the Emergency management continuum.

About you



To be successful in this role you will have/be


Education

Degree in First Nations Studies, Public Health, Health Sciences, Environmental Health, or Sociology related field plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Masters' Degree and/or preferred.
Experience

Demonstrated experience working with First Nations and Indigenous community members and organizations is an asset Working experience within public health, environmental health or emergency management is an asset Program or process development and quality improvement experience within the above contexts is an asset
Knowledge

Knowledge of First Nation perspective on health and wellness. Knowledge of the culture, traditions, historical impact, political, health, and socio-economic determinants of health, priorities, and emerging issues of First Nations groups. Knowledge of, and ability to apply, an understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols in work situations. Awareness of the importance of First Nations cultural identity as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle for individuals within a First Nations community.

You may have experience in; Pubic Health Consultant, Policy Analyst, Health Planner, or Health Security Specialist

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
