Job description

Gibb Sauve needs a senior accounting technician with 5 - 7 years experience. A CPA designation is not mandatory but will be considered a definite plus.

Duties

- Compilations and reviews

- T2 corporate income tax return preparation and filing

- T1 personal income tax preparation and filing

- T4/T5/T3 information return preparation and filing

- GST returns, payroll and additional reporting

- bookkeeping/record keeping processing

- coordinate with other on and offsite staff in the file completion process

- mentor and direct less senior staff on file completion and best policies and procedures

- other admin functions, obtaining source documents, sending and receiving pertinent emails

Requirements

5 - 7 years experience and completion of a CPA designation is a bonus

An additional bonus would be for the successful candidate to be adept with the Microsoft office 365 suite, teams, planner, to do, tasks, calendar, and other typical Microsoft office software.

This role has a heavy IT aspect to it so affinity for that is very beneficial.

Other software proficiency requirements are:

- Caseware

- Taxprep

- QBO and/or other bookkeeping related programs

- Excel pivot tables working knowledge and use

- Adobe and/or Foxit

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
