SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

This opening is a maternity leave coverage for one year with a possibility of extension and / or becoming permanent. As a member of the Accounting Department, you will be part of a team responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant information to the management and external stakeholders.

As the company's Senior Accountant, you will support in the gathering, preparation, recording and maintenance of Inventory data, Job Costing, Management and Processing of Accounts Receivables, Preparation, review and filing of Govt returns and other accounting tasks as assigned.

The Job:

INVENTORY



Job Costing. Liaising with vendors to ensure all job costing information is timely and complete Recording of Inventory Processing Transfers Ensure that the company's Inventory accounting records are accurate and complete. Inventory Reconciliations

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE



Management of Accounts receivable process including but not limited to

Sales Invoicing including EDI invoicing Statement Preparation Collections and Customer follow up Ensure Outstanding balances are followed up and collected in a timely manner

OTHER TASKS



The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for the preparation and submission of Statutory and Non - Statutory returns and reports. Assist the Controller in the month end close process and year end audits Back up for AP and Payroll administrator Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS



A never-ending commitment to continuously learn and evolve Involvement in continuous process improvements with the overall objectivity of achieving Operational efficiency Strong Communication Skills Proven Skills, education and experience with Inventory accounting and Accounts Receivable Prior experience with Microsoft Great Plains is highly desirable Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable Certification / Enrollment in CPA designation desirable but not essential.
Salary: Depending on Experience.
