As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!MissionThe Senior Accountant - Aggregates, reporting to the Subsidiary Controller, will assist the General Manager Aggregates with the financial reporting requirements and overall management of the financial transactions relating to the Aggregate Activity.The anticipated salary range for this position is $90000-$100000 CAD per year. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Main Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of approximately three accountants, clerks, and administrative staff to achieve the key performance indicators of the function.
• Oversee financial transactions related to all Aggregate Production and Sales activities.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for relevant applications, including JWS and JDE, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of related activities.
• Take responsibility for all financial transactions associated with the Aggregate business units, ensuring proper coding and allocation.
• Review all related transactions to maintain consistency with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and review requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Contribute to the analysis and preparation of monthly financial statements and other necessary reports.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various royalty agreements.
• Monitor their execution and provide regular reporting.
• Lead and reconcile the annual inventory counts for all Aggregate sources.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Controller.

Experience and Knowledge Required for the Role

• CPA or working towards CPA designation.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accountancy and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or a similar role, ideally within the construction or aggregate industry.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong work ethic and team-focused approach which is "hands on".
• Advanced communication skills (oral, written, and technical).
• Computer proficiency.
