:Do you have a background of operational accounting or cost accounting? Do you also have an understanding of corporate reporting and the month-end process? Then we have a job for you!We are working with a group of small, industrial companies to help identify a Senior Accountant or Cost Analyst to work closely with the Group Controller and engage with the operational leaders of the businesses. Primarily, the Senior Accountant would be responsible for:- Cost analysis including manufacturing costs, project costs vs. revenue, and cost of goods sold- Project budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and variances- Inventory accounting and reconciliations- Management reporting- Month-end closing processes including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet reconciliations- Process and control design and implementationThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who can see the direction an organization is trying to go and will work to drive the sophistication and modernization of the organization; for someone who, once up to speed, can anticipate what needs to be done and take ownership of tasks; for someone who can grow personally and professionally with the businesses as they grow and scale in size and scope.Requirements:Additionally, the ideal candidate would bring:- A minimum of a bachelor\'s degree and a CPA (or equivalent) designation; candidates pursuing a designation will also be considered- 5+ years of experience working in finance/accounting within industrial/manufacturing/distribution businessesFunctionally, this is an in-office position. The businesses are not compatible with remote work for the time being.
