Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage key financial operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. This role involves handling FX adjustments, intercompany reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting across multiple legal entities (Ireland, US, and China). The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
What you Do
Month-End and Financial Reporting
Reconcile and adjust Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) balances for FX fluctuations.
Record all accrued costs and expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain depreciation schedules and fixed assets ledger.
Adjust inventory balances for FX fluctuations.
Track and reconcile deferred revenue and customer prepayments.
Reconcile prepaid invoices (licenses, services, trade shows, insurance, etc.).
Perform intercompany reconciliations for three legal entities
Record international sales invoices and transactions from financial reports.
Download and review GL and trial balance for all entities.
Maintain the GST/HST spreadsheet and calculate Canada Revenue remittances.
Update FX rates across all entities.
Banking & Payroll
Prepare Bank of China cash flow reports (PTC).
Reconcile PLC payroll and process payments.
Financial Analysis & Compliance
Generate departmental financial reports and distribute them to department managers.
Assist with the Pleora Ireland year-end audit.
Prepare SRED cost reports (non-salary expenses).
Summarize legal fees with comments.
Prepare Meals and Entertainment expense reports.
Track and report Ontario and Quebec sales by province.
Collect and maintain donation receipts for compliance.
What you need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation (or working toward CPA) is preferred.
3-7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with multi-currency transactions and FX adjustments.
Strong experience on ERP systems
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience with business intelligence / data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
