Reporting to the Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include;- Work with the team to prepare intricate financial reports
- Cross-train in Financial, General, and Cost Accounting roles
- Aid in the preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Support department leaders with financial and operational analysis during the budgeting and forecasting process
- Coordinate with other department personnel
- Assist in both internal and external financial audits
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile sub-ledgers for assigned accounts
- Play a crucial role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including detailed financial statement analysis
- Assist in BOM audits and the collection of production data
- Serve as a backup for key accounting positions
- Perform other duties as neededQualifications
- CPA designation or final stages
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is highly desirable
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions
- Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, Hyperion is desired
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities, with high proficiency in data handling
- Experience with in-depth analysis of large data sets
- Experience with annual audits, including SOX compliance, year-end audits, and government auditsSummary
