Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third-Party Logistics/ Brokerage which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.Midland Transport is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Senior Accountant based in Dieppe, NB. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the senior accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions and aiding the Accounting Manager.Qualifications:

• Education Required: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and in the final stages of obtaining a professional accounting designation or completion of the CPA program.
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of five years equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with a strong knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of Cognos, E1 and AS400 considered an asset.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Independent and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high quality work.
• Forward thinking and driven to continually improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Perform journal entries, variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Identify improvement and efficiency opportunities throughout Midland.
• Participate in development and implementation of change opportunities.
• Train, coach, and support Accounting team members
• Provide internal and external support to business partners.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.
