Our client, a well-established public practice firm located in Canmore, is looking for a full-time Designated Senior Accountant. • Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting cycle.
• Oversee all Accounts payable processes.
• File GST returns.
• Monitor, update, and report actuals against departmental budgets. Explanation of variances.
• Re-classification of costs to capitalization according to standard accounting procedures
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end closing processes and financial reporting (full cycle accounting)
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Gross margin analysis.
• Debtor control.
• Banks accounting and cash flow.
• Responsible for tax compliance and audit functions.
• Assist with budget projections.
• Ability to import and manipulate data in Excel to create ad hoc reporting and analysis

What We\'re Looking For:

• Qualified CPA with experience in public practice.
• Proficiency in financial statement compilations and reviews, along with personal and corporate tax returns and planning.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping systems; familiarity with Caseware and QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
