Senior Accountant based on Vancouver Island, BC

What you will be doing:

Collaborate with the Controller to manage and prepare financial statements and schedules for month end; Prepare journal entries for business transactions and real estate acquisitions; Review month end working papers prepared by the accounting team; General ledger account analysis; Financial analysis and management reporting; Assist with various periodical reports and CRA tax filings; Month end review and reporting for related entities, as assigned; Assist in special projects as assigned; Participate in continuous process improvement and team leadership.

What you need to bring:

Advanced computer skills including MS Office and Excel; Bachelor's Degree, in business, accounting, finance or related discipline; Minimum of 4 years experience in full cycle accounting or public practice; Working towards or qualified CPA designation is an asset; Experience leading teams; Ability to make decisions and meet critical deadlines; Ability to adapt and demonstrate resiliency in response to changing work demands; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment; Ability to develop and maintain relationships with project and company stakeholders; Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a results-oriented approach; Attention to detail with the ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy; Strong prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and take responsibility for your work; Ability to think creatively when problem solving, proactively adapting to challenges; A high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.00 depending on experience. We also provide:
