The incumbent is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing and maintaining business relationships with major strategic clients operating in the commercial sector, with a view to promoting and selling products and services in order to grow the centre\xe2\x80\x99s business. He or she uses his/her in-depth technical and business skills to represent, negotiate and engage companies as part of strategic agreements of great importance to the centre\'s business. He or she ensures consistency and balance between sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, portfolio profitability and member, client and partner satisfaction. He or she also acts as leaders and influencers to a variety of parties and share his/her expertise with unit members as necessary.

The Desjardins Ontario Credit Union serves 133,000 active members, primarily in the commercial, real estate and agricultural sectors. Main Responsibilities
Initiate, develop and maintain personalized business relationships with current and potential clients in order to promote and sell the products and services offered by Desjardins.
Act as an account manager by serving as a key intermediary between the business centre and members and clients. Ensure proper usage and updating of, as well as satisfaction with the products and services offered. Analyze sources of dissatisfaction and recommend potential solutions.
Identify and analyze member and client needs, develop personalized solutions and prepare an integrated service offering. Negotiate applicable conditions with members and clients.
Recommend strategies and solutions for achieving objectives by the business centre such as increased business volume, sound risk management, portfolio profitability and stronger business relationships.
Use intelligence to identify opportunities for business development that will increase the competitiveness of the products and services offered.
Execute various promotional activities as part of the centre\'s business operations. Participate in targeted public relations activities and participate actively in the business community.
Be attentive to client and member needs to ensure their full satisfaction, seize business opportunities and, as needed, refer them to the right person to meet their needs.
Adhere to all policies, practices and standards in effect, as well as the various laws governing the distribution of financial products and services. Provide sound and prudent risk management for all portfolios under their responsibility.
Provide expert advice on carrying out complex financing projects (e.g., land loans, pre-development loans, land servicing loans, construction envelopes, interim construction loans including high-rise condominiums, commercial and residential mortgages) that entail major financing needs ($10 million +).
Carry out all advisory support activities that could lead to concluding major transactions. You will manage a real estate financing portfolio ranging in value from $250 million to $750 million and composed of land loans, construction envelopes, interim construction loans, and commercial and residential mortgages.
Develop existing clientele and solicit new business.
Be responsible for an annual business volume of $150+ million or more with fee target at $500k+.
Analyze and review financing files and implement methods for monitoring financial commitments so as to soundly manage the loan portfolio.
Monitor the market environment and the competition\'s conditions.
Act as an expert advisor in carrying out financing projects for members or clients with substantial and complex financing needs.
Define the key issues for the sector; assess the file\xe2\x80\x99s risks; prepare, present and make recommendations for granting credit and perform all advisory support activities that could lead to concluding major transactions, in accordance with the organization\'s policies and practices.
Communicate with company officers to obtain all financial information pertinent to the financial analysis of the file.

Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
