Position Overview



We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing Senior Account Manager. We are seeking an individual who has consistently generated sales growth year over year, enjoys working collaboratively with both account buyers and internal product development teams to create profitable new program ideas, and understands costing and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities



Build on Van Belle's positive marketplace reputation Generate profitable sales growth with the assigned Retail Account Assist the internal Product Development team in the creation of new program ideas Work collaboratively with the Sales and Merchandising teams to ensure the Account is receiving the best possible products and service. Negotiate, plan, present, and execute strategic programs and promotions with key decision makers. Contribute as a committed member of the broader Van Belle team.

What we are looking for



5+ years of key account sales experience with big box retail clients Experience working with and presenting to senior client stakeholders Strategic thinker who is solution-oriented Ability to communicate account and market knowledge internally, including competitive information. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work well independently as well as in a winning team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working with Microsoft Docs

How I contribute



My mission is to drive profitable sales growth and expand the market presence of Van Belle Nursery's Finished Plants division by developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with buyers, and collaborating closely with product development teams.

My goals are to



Grow existing programs that are already in place with our customers Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities Foster customer satisfaction and loyalty Ensure Van Belle Finished Plants stay ahead of market trends and industry developments

I am responsible for



1. Sales Growth and Strategy:



Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue for the Finished Plants division. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities. Set and monitor sales goals, providing regular reports on progress and adjusting tactics as needed.

2. Account Management:



Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating effective communication. Develop tailored solutions and presentations to meet the specific needs and goals of each retail partner.

3. Product Development Collaboration:



Work closely with the internal product development teams to align on product offerings, innovation, and market demand. Provide feedback from customers and the market to inform product development and improvements. Participate in product launches and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with account needs and sales strategies.

4. Market and Industry Engagement:



Stay informed on industry trends, emerging products, and market dynamics. Represent Van Belle Nurseries at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. Share insights and best practices with the broader team to support overall business growth.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
