POSITION OVERVIEW




The Senior Account Manager, Commercial Insurance is a key member of the Commercial team, responsible for delivering exceptional client service and managing a moderate to high-volume portfolio. With strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and a client-first approach, this role ensures accurate, high-quality work while collaborating closely with internal teams to support consistent service excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Relationship Management



Act as the primary point of contact for key commercial clients. Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships. Proactively manage client expectations and ensure a high level of service delivery. ###

Policy Administration



In collaboration with the Risk Advisor, lead the full renewal process: gathering information, marketing the account, negotiating with insurers, and presenting terms to clients. Ensure all policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and documents are issued accurately and promptly. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, insurer appetites, and available insurance

products.
Serve as a resource for complex policy wording, risk placements, and program structures. Handle claim submissions and follow-up processes. ###

Account Strategy & Growth



Provide expert insurance advice and recommend suitable coverage options. Develop account strategies to retain and grow existing business. Support Risk Advisors in identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Participate in strategic planning for complex accounts ###

Team Leadership & Mentorship



Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow Account Managers or Account Administrators. Share knowledge and support team training and development. Organize weekly meetings with Risk Advisors and Commercial Account Administrators, as needed. Collaborate with internal departments (administration, claims, underwriting, finance). ###

Compliance & Documentation



Ensure proper documentation is maintained in the management system (e.g., Epic). Adhere to brokerage procedures and E&O best practices. Maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance

REQUIREMENTS:



Level 2 BC Insurance License, CAIB designation preferred 7+ years of Account Manager experience in Commercial Insurance Refined interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring interactions are clear and concise. Proficient in working within a team environment and managing diverse tasks. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage workload effectively.
