Seeking Hepatology Specialist - St. John's, NL

Our client is the largest integrated health organization in Newfoundland and Labrador and is accredited with exemplary standing, the highest possible rating, from Accreditation Canada. It employs over 13,000 employees and provides services to a regional population of more than 300,000. They are seeking two (2) fee-for-service Hepatologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology at their tertiary care hospital in NL. The hospital is affiliated with Memorial University and is the primary training center for medical students and residents.

The successful candidate individual will be responsible for in and outpatient hepatology services including seeing new patients, provision of Fibroscan, as well as follow-up on existing patients including patients with liver transplants. This position is hospital based with the possibility of outside clinics. Participation in endoscopy provision is available for a candidate with appropriate endoscopy training. The successful candidate will participate in an equal share of on-call.

Remuneration:

Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule.

Qualifications:

• Eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Fellowship training in Hepatology is required and applicants must be qualified or eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
