Position Summary:

We are looking for a

SECURITY SUPERVISOR

to join our team at the Niagara Pen Centre.

As a Security Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all visitors, tenants, and employees of the Niagara Pen Centre. This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the security team, ensuring compliance with all security and safety procedures, and supporting the overall operational excellence of the shopping centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the security team to ensure adequate coverage throughout the property. Provide direction, motivation, and performance feedback to team members. Conduct daily briefings and ensure proper communication between shifts. Oversee patrols, incident response, access control, and parking enforcement. Monitor the CCTV system and other security technologies to maintain situational awareness. Ensure all incidents, accidents, and irregular activities are reported and documented accurately. Conduct routine inspections of the mall interior, exterior, and service corridors to identify safety or security concerns. Act as the on-site lead during emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, and evacuations. Participate in regular safety and emergency preparedness drills. Provide professional, courteous assistance to tenants, customers, and visitors. Support property management with tenant inquiries or security-related concerns. Contribute to a positive shopping experience through visible and proactive engagement.

Required skills and qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of security experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role (preferably in retail, commercial, or public facility). Valid provincial Security Guard License. Current First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of emergency procedures, access control systems, and CCTV monitoring. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional demeanor, reliable, and customer-service oriented.
