Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive monitoring and enforcement of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, integrity, and a commitment to protecting property and personnel.

Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and respond promptly to suspicious behavior Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor sign-ins Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes Assist with loss prevention strategies by monitoring for theft or vandalism Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with directions or inquiries as needed

Requirements

Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious activity quickly Excellent communication skills to effectively report incidents and interact professionally with staff and visitors Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations responsibly Must be physically fit to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.94-$25.46 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
