Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are followed effectively.

Locations available- Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley, Surrey, New Westminster, Burnaby, Richmond, Vancouver, North Vancouver.

Duties

Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect and prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activities. Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security compliance. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, investigating disturbances and reporting findings as necessary. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility. Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing necessary information regarding incidents or breaches. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

Proven experience in surveillance or security roles is preferred; experience in law enforcement is a plus. Must have

British Columbia Security Worker License.

Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or breaches. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel. Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond quickly to emergencies. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$23.15 per hour
