Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team in a part-time/casual role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and law enforcement practices. The Security Guard will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies. Job opportunities/ responsibilities vary based on contract.

Responsibilities

Authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Utilize surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activity. Be a visible, professional deterrent lead with customer service and a calm presence. Maintain professional appearance and deportment at all times. Conduct regular foot patrols and targeted checks of high-risk areas. Respond to alarms/incidents per post orders; secure premises. Produce clear, timely, and detailed incident/daily reports in our online systems. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security breaches or criminal activity. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors. Enforce the Trespass to Property Act (Ontario), the Criminal Code of Canada, and site rules.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV systems and monitoring techniques. Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining high attention to detail. Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm and assertive demeanor. Knowledge of security procedures and protocols. Reliable and punctual Personal transportation

Requirements

Valid

Ontario Security Guard License

First Aid/CPR Certification

High School Diploma

(or equivalent).

Preferred

Use-of-force training Conflict management and de-escalation training Crisis intervention training Previous concierge experience

$18-20/ hour
