About the Role

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and service-oriented Licensed Security Guard to provide on-site security services at a busy, multi-tenant community facility. This role requires strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to interact respectfully with seniors, staff, visitors, and members of vulnerable populations.

This is a front-facing position where professionalism, communication, and calm conflict resolution are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide full on-site security coverage during scheduled hours Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols Monitor entrances and manage site access Maintain a visible, approachable, and professional presence Assist with crowd management when required Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and safety hazards De-escalate conflicts using verbal and non-physical techniques Communicate effectively with facility staff and partner organizations Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in a timely manner Promote a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all occupants

Mandatory Qualifications

Valid

Ontario Security Guard License

issued under PSISA Current

CPR and First Aid certification

Minimum

1 year of security guard experience

Strong verbal and written English communication skills Proven customer service and public-facing experience Training or experience in conflict resolution and verbal de-escalation Experience working with seniors and or vulnerable populations is a strong asset Professional appearance and conduct at all times Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Additional Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must maintain all licensing and certifications throughout employment Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to consistent attendance
