Pay Rate:

$20.60/hr.

Averaging Agreement:

Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 hrs

Key responsibilities:



Property, asset and personnel protection Access control for staff, visitors, contractors, vehicles, etc. Proactive patrolling for hazards, security risks, maintenance issues, etc. - interior & exterior Incident/service call response for emergencies, alarms, etc. Monitor security systems - CCTV, access control, etc. Customer Service Logging in/out of Key, Radio and pager audits Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries Report any unsafe working conditions in any/all departments Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s) Respond to all types of occurrences Patrol interior and exterior Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the city's diverse community. Encourage a safe and supportive environment. Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed Frequently inspect the facility for damage and report to management. Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly. Ability to work alone or in a team Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols, and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns. Ability to write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day to day activities

Requirements:



Must meet eligibility criteria for the

Canadian Controlled Goods Program

, which includes:

Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

, continuous

residency in Canada

for the past five years, a

clean credit and police record

, and the ability to provide satisfactory

3 personal and 3 professional references

Proficiency in Computer literacy Ability to sit/stand and walk/climb stairs throughout the building & push min. 25lbs Minimum of one year of experience in a security role is required A Valid Ontario Security Guard License & First AID CPR C Proficient in English (both oral and written) COVID19 Vaccination Customer Service Experience is considered an asset Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
