Mapleview Mall is a premier shopping destination. Security personnel play a key role in ensuring safety, providing customer assistance, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents to uphold a positive and safe shopping experience.

Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service by assisting clients, tenants, and visitors. Act as a visible deterrent to crime and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a fair and professional manner. Conduct regular patrols of the property (on foot or by vehicle). Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and incidents. Provide first aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive. Monitor and operate CCTV and other security systems. Maintain and enforce access control procedures. Handle trespassers and unauthorized persons under the Trespass to Property Act. De-escalate emergency or crisis situations calmly and safely. Maintain detailed memo books and prepare accurate incident and occurrence reports. Assist with Fire & Life Safety inspections and other safety initiatives. Participate in crowd, line, and access management as needed. Investigate incidents, occurrences, and rule violations. Collaborate with management and operations teams to support daily functions. Use tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment when dealing with the public. Ensure compliance with all emergency and standard operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:



Minimum 1 year of prior security experience. Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License. Must have Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved) certification. Must possess a valid "G" Class driver's license or higher with a clean 3-year driver's abstract. Legally authorized to work full-time in Canada. Able and willing to stand, walk, and patrol (on foot or by vehicle) for extended periods. Strong verbal and written communication skills & decision making skills Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both indoors and outdoors. Comfortable working in fast paced environments. Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, able to work effectively in a team setting. Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
