Position: Security Guard

As a Security Officer with Apex Security, you will be on the front lines of safety, ensuring our clients, employees, and the community are protected. This is more than a job--it's an opportunity to make a real impact while building your professional skills and contributing to a trusted, locally owned security organization.

In this role, you will respond to security and enforcement-related incidents, emergencies, and alarms, and act as a lead resource for situations involving social disorder, trespassing, or other challenges. You will enforce facility rules, municipal bylaws, and provincial statutes, while conducting mobile and foot patrols in assigned areas. Proactive problem-solving and engagement are critical, as you will also provide businesses and the public with assistance and exceptional customer service, and collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies when necessary.

Who We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is physically fit, alert, and able to work 12-hour shifts, day or night. You should be able to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal. You are reliable, punctual, flexible, and able to respond to last-minute assignments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Security License Proven experience as a security officer Helpful, courteous attitude with strong interpersonal skills Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record Tactical and handcuff experience is preferred (training available for the right candidate) Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
