Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.



We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

:


Conduct patrols in military barracks checking for any maintenance issues Assist with In and Out processing of military members Act as Fire Warden Ensure all rooms are "move in" ready Complete "March Out" and other site paperwork as directed Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment Other duties as required by the client

MUSTOntario Security Guard License

MUSTValid First Aid and CPR certificate

MUSTbe able to obtain Security Clearance- minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time Ability to complete frequent patrols Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset Able to multi-task and work well with little to no supervision Excellent customer service and reception skills

Rate of Pay: $22.98 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0730 to 1600 hrs; occasional Saturday and Sunday 0730 to 1400 hrs Location: CFB Borden

As a front-line representative of our company and client's site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
