Duties

Monitor premises continuously using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter unauthorized access or theft. Verify identities and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established protocols. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by assessing situations accurately and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Enforce loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action. Provide first aid or CPR when needed and assist in conflict management to de-escalate tense situations effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV technology is essential. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Background in military service or law enforcement can be advantageous. Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices is a plus. Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on surveillance duties.
