Alarmtron is looking for Security Dispatchers to join our team. We are a team full of diverse individuals who work hard whilst maintaining a fun work environment. We specialize in custom commercial systems including but not limited to visual verification camera systems, ULC fire systems, access control, and more.

What to Expect

Please note we operate Monday-Sunday, 24/7, 365. This employment position requires someone who is great at self-motivating and working independently. Do not apply for this position if you require a busy work environment with lots of people passing through. This is a great position for those who like to work quietly on their own whilst still taking initiative and getting things done.

We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work some graveyard and weekend shifts. Preference will be given to those with experience in the industry or experience working in high-volume call centres.

Responsibilities

Remote monitoring of designated company locations.
Monitoring and dispatching alarm events and live crime (in progress) via video monitoring. Provide dispatch information to emergency responders as appropriate.
Initiate after-hour emergency service calls and security requests.
Triage technology and security systems service calls.
Recording evidence and information for incident reports.
Adhere to business phone etiquette while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Knowledge of computers, networks, and other forms of technology.
Conduct daily assigned projects.

MUST

maintain the confidentiality of all company information, procedures, facilities
systems, and investigations.

Qualifications & Abilities

Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm is required.
Alarm Monitoring, Dispatch, CCTV Monitoring, and Call Centre experience is an asset but is not required.
Ability to assess risk and carry out the appropriate decisions in those situations.
Ability to work autonomously, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful, high-stakes situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to remain alert throughout the full shift.
Strong situational awareness.
Demonstrated ability to provide instruction, remain calm, and respond with good judgment and clarity in emergency situations.
