Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

The incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the Program Manager(s) including processing job postings and related paperwork, maintaining position control, registering new hires in orientation sessions, ensuring that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels, maintaining information and employee profiles in the ESP staff scheduling system, updating the day to day schedule changes in ESP and running staffing reports as requested. Coordinates appointment calendar for the Manager(s) and performs other clerical duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience using SAP ESP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills required.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
Physical Requirements
  • May be required to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
  • Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
