Maple Leaf International School - Trinidad and Tobago is seeking one committed professional to join our team of dedicated teachers. Maple Leaf International School is an authorized and ministry inspected private school. Our graduates earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, recognized by universities and colleges locally and worldwide. The school curriculum is the Ontario Curriculum, which focuses on knowledge acquisition and the skills of inquiry, communication and application. Active learning, smaller classes and standards of achievement ensure quality education for each individual. This particular position is for a teacher of English grades 9 - 12 for the school year 2021-2022 but candidates may also be considered for a two year posting. The school year runs from September to June for students and faculty start the last week of August. Our school has approximately 300 students and about 30 teaching faculty. The school calendar follows the Ontario school calendar as closely as possible, although we have a three week Christmas break, a break for Carnival typically in February and a two week Easter break. Candidates must possess OCT qualifications and be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
